I took the shortest International trip ever but it counts. If you have read my other post, you may already know that my goal since my trip to Italy was to take at least one international trip every year. 2014….Italy….2015 Spain and France……2016…..France and the Netherlands was the plan but as they say we make plans and God laughs! After I returned from Spain last Fall (oh btw I owe you a whole bunch of Spain post so stay tuned) God decided to gift me with a child who will make an appearance Summer 2016! So I decided against an international trip for this year and stayed close to home with a trip to Seattle. However…….I parlayed my quick trip to Seattle into an International trip!
I decided to book a ferry from Seattle to Victoria, BC Canada. Some think Canada? That’s not international! Well it is! One: the trip required a passport. Two: My passport was stamped!!! This is really all the evidence I need that it was an international trip but I’ll go on. Three: My ATT phone didn’t work there without roaming. Four: They use different currency and finally five: I actually had to cross a body of water to get there. International Trip! I took an early morning Ferry to Victoria. I booked a trip to Butchart Gardens and enjoyed high tea. I lingered around the garden for awhile, took the bus back to the ferry….took the ferry back to Seattle and happily checked off my annual international trip requirement for the year. This all occurred in a 10 hour or less time frame! Enjoy my pictures from Canada!
